Life Science
Creating the future from the human genome. A place for the innovative study of life science.
The educational goal of the Graduate School of Life Science is to develop researchers and technicians who can lead the way in cutting-edge and interdisciplinary life science research and be active globally through their unique education.
The Division of Life Science at the Graduate School of Life Science (Transdisciplinary Life Science Course, Biosystems Science Course, and Biomedical and Pharmaceutical Science Course) and the Division of Soft Matter (master’s and doctoral programs) provide education to enhance students’ expertise in the academic fields in which each course and division specializes, and are implementing several new educational initiatives as shown below. The Division of Clinical Pharmacy provides a specialized doctoral program to graduates of the six-year course in the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
1) Students acquire extensive knowledge and research skills by taking lectures within the course and across courses and majors
2) Lessons in fields required by society such as bioethics, intellectual property, bioinformatics, molecular imaging, and soft matter
3) With a focus on the international aspect of studies (techniques for presenting at international conferences and how to write research papers in English)
4) Implementation of a multiple advisor program
